KCST will be open to any relevant research program proposed by the faculty of KCST as well as being responsive to research areas requested by industrial and/or governmental organizations.

Mission
To offer effective research support for KCST faculty staff, along with encouraging KCST students and alumni to be involved in academic research
Objectives
- Maximize the volume and variety of received research grants hosted by KCST
- Improve the Academic ranking of KCST
- Increase collaboration with regional/international institutes and industry
- Foster research environment at KCST to be aligned with priority themes
- Enrich the academic research records (publications, citations, and international collaboration)
- Support new academic collaborations: Graduate programs hosted outside Kuwait, summer global training, and post-doc program
- Facilitate co-supervision of MSc/PhD graduates
